Reading Library
“A New Story, A New World… Every Week!”
At MBIP, we believe that a love for reading begins long before a child learns to read. A dedicated reading library for toddlers creates a nurturing space where young minds can explore the magical world of stories, pictures and imagination. The purpose of our toddler library is to introduce children to books as friendly companions-opening doors to creativity, curiosity and early language skills.
Through colourful picture books, simple stories and interactive reading sessions, toddlers develop essential pre-reading skills such as listening, observing and recognizing words and images. The library is not just a collection of books; it is a place where children can cuddle up with a favourite story, engage in group storytelling and develop an early sense of belonging to a community of learners.
The benefits of a reading library extend beyond academics. Exposure to books at an early age nurtures empathy, as children connect with characters and different experiences. It enhances concentration, memory and problem-solving skills while enriching vocabulary. Story time becomes a joyful activity that strengthens the bond between teachers and children and between peers.
Additionally, the library cultivates a lifelong reading habit, laying the foundation for strong communication skills and academic success in later years. We provide our children with internationally recognized and award winning reading books to complement with our teachings for home reading; thus involving parents also and extending the learning environment beyond the classroom.
In essence, our reading library is a gateway to imagination, a tool for language development and a cornerstone in shaping confident, curious and joyful learners.
